The VegiTerranean
On Saturday my brother, vegetarian SIL and I checked out The VegiTerranean, Akron native Chrissie Hynde's vegan restaurant.
We ended up getting two things and sharing. We got field greens, grilled artichoke, oven roasted tomatoes and a sweet balsamic vinaigrette and a side sampler (Grilled artichokes with olive oil and Rawmesan, grilled asparagus w/ balsamic vinaigrette, sweet and spicy broccoli and fries tossed in vegan butter, rosemary and garlic.)
Don't mind the bite marks... I didn't think to take the picture until after I started eating.
We sat on the patio, right next to the stairs that lead to what used to be a giant housing project but is now a train station.
My SIL commented that she felt like she was going to be shanked, but that may be a byproduct of working in a prison?
My brother and SIL contemplating world peace?
Or maybe how much these lofts cost. The rumor is that LeBron James owns one.
I tried to get a pic of the really cool loo, but for some reason my camera decided against it. This is as good as it gets.
All in all, it was good. Really good. In fact, we made our reservations for early enough that we could still head to Quaker Steak and Lube in Canton "just in case" but we were stuffed. We still went to Quaker Steak but didn't eat.
The bill came to just over $60, but that included drinks. I can't wait to go back.
